Many people have lovely, completed quilt tops that have never been quilted, or enjoy piecing tops but don't have the time or inclination to complete them. Let us help you finish those keepsakes.
Our quilting is hand-guided, close, washable, lockstitch machine quilting. It will not rip out in ordinary wear and washing, and the filling will not knot. We carry batting, backings, and binding fabrics. Binding is a separate procedure, and is charged for separately. You may also do your own binding. If you supply your own batting, please note the following:
BATTING: Please DO NOT BRING Wonderbatt, Morning Glory, or Mountain Mist, they are too soft, and do not work well with our machine. We prefer Fairfield bonded batting, either the traditional or extra loft, for polyester batting. We also carry Warm and Natural, which is a natural cotton batting, that is warm in the winter, cool in the summer, without alot of bulk. The batting must be 1"-2" wider that the quilt top, and at least 4" longer. We are no longer accepting polyester doubleknit quilts, but will accept pretty much any other type of quilt.
BACKING: This must be at least 6" longer than the top, and 1"-2" wider than the top. If 45" fabric is brought to us, there will be a 5.00 piecing charge. The extra fabric allows for the quilt take-up when it is rolled on the machine. Please measure your backing carefully. DO NOT PIN, OR BASTE YOUR TOP, BACKING, OR FILLING IN ANY WAY.
We do offer high quality backings in 90", 108", and 120" widths, colors and patterns subject to availability. We try to always have white and off white in stock.
We currently have over 50 pantograph patterns to choose from, several are featured on our site. If there is something else you have in mind please check with us. We also offer stippling, or meandering if you prefer. At the present we do not do outline quilting, or straight line quilting.
Measurement falling between sizes go to larger size. Quilting fee includes labor and thread only.
SHIPPING INFORMATION: Quilts will be shipped out UPS. The first $100 value is insured with the actual freight cost. Anything you would like insured over that is .35 per 100.00. Shipping generally runs around 18.00 per quilt. Shipping of multiple quilts may run more.
